Crib Goch
Crib Goch is a knife-edged ridge, at it's highest point 923 metres above
sea level. A path leads over the arête and three rock-pinnacles to a grassy col
at Bwlch Coch. This first part of the ridge is very exposed and serious, having
resulted in several fatalities, even of experienced mountaineers.
From the col the ridge rises again, joining the main Snowdon ridge via the sister peak
Garnedd Ugain in the west. Here the path meets the Pyg Track at Bwlch Glas, before the final climb to
Snowdon summit.
Where following the Welsh 3000s in usual order with Snowdon first, the Crib
Goch ridge is reached from
Garnedd Ugain,
before descending to the North.
